Collingwood Daze

Collingwood Daze, 2023 is a public mural created for the Collingwood Business Improvement Association to bring color and vibrancy to the intersection of Kingsway and Tyne Street. The mural explores the flowing forms and rhythmic movement of Baybayin-inspired shapes, translating the visual cadence of the script into abstract, organic patterns across the wall.

The design was intended to brighten the corner while subtly referencing Filipino cultural heritage through movement, form, and color. Produced in partnership with the Collingwood BIA and the City of Vancouver, the mural contributes to the neighborhood’s ongoing efforts to animate public space and celebrate the cultural diversity of the community.
