Blooms

Blooms is a ground mural created for South Vancouver Family Place as part of the Reframing South Vancouver Initiative. The project sought to bring greater visibility to the Family Place while celebrating the diverse communities that make up South Vancouver.

The design features a network of floral motifs, with each flower symbolizing a different cultural community represented in the neighborhood. Together, the forms create a vibrant composition that reflects the interconnectedness of the area’s residents and the shared spaces that bring them together. The mural transforms the ground into a welcoming visual landmark, drawing attention to South Vancouver Family Place as an important gathering and support hub for families in the community.
